Around 300 students of Somate village benefited with an oral health campaign

Around 300 children of Primary School Somate Centro, located in the Sullana province, Piura were benefited with an oral health campaign that consisted on fluoridation services, talks about toothbrushing,  and the importance of a good oral health care. These explanations were given by important dentists, nurses and technical nurses who helped in this social campaign.

This social campaign was performed in health centers of Somate and Bellavista villages where 432 kits of toothbrushes and toothpastes were donated to the children. At the end of the campaign, all children received snacks (juices and cookies), children were so happy for the service provided. Then, there was a fellowship lunch among the health professionals and teachers who participated in the campaign.

 “We seek to contribute to the oral health of children of Somate because in their age, we should inculcate the oral health care in them. Uvas del Norte will continue with its social work in Somate as part of its social responsibility activities” said Carlos Sánchez, corporative social responsibility manager of the Ingenieros Civiles y Contratistas Generales company (ICCGSA).

It is important to mention that this oral health campaign was performed by the company Uvas del Norte, that is a member of ICCGSA. This firm has 49 years of creation in the Peruvian construction sector. This campaign also received the help of Colgate and the health professionals of Somate Bajo and Bellavista’s health centers.
